What is the Smart Awning?
The Smart Awning is a motorised retractable roof designed for patios, balconies, shopfronts and car protection. Press a button and the arms extend to give you an instant shaded area; press it again and the fabric rolls neatly back against the wall. It is easy to operate and adapts to whatever you are doing - morning coffee, family dinner or simply keeping the afternoon sun off the car.
What makes it smart is the integration. Built-in LED ambience lighting lets you use the space after dark, and the motor can be controlled from a remote, wall switch or smartphone app. Optional wind and sun sensors retract or extend the awning automatically.
We use Sauleda Masacril fabric from Spain: 100% acrylic, highly water-repellent while remaining breathable, and treated with an impregnated finish for stain resistance, colour stability and long life. It weighs 300 g/m2 with a 360 mm water column, and is available in a wide range of solids and stripes. Selected Smart Shades fabrics are fire-retardant and eligible for SCDF submission.
As a leading provider of smart awning solutions in Singapore, we tailor each awning to your wall, opening width and projection, and to the look of your home.

Smart Awning FAQs
What is a smart awning?
A smart awning is a motorised retractable awning that can be controlled by remote, app or sensors, and in our case includes built-in LED lighting. It extends to provide shade and retracts into a compact housing when not needed.
Can a retractable awning be left open in the rain?
The Sauleda acrylic fabric is water-repellent and handles light rain. In heavy rain or strong wind, the awning should be retracted. A wind sensor can retract it automatically.
Can a smart awning protect my car?
Yes. Car porch smart awnings shade your car from sun and light rain, reducing interior heat and paint fading, and look much more elegant than a fixed canopy.
Smart awning vs fixed awning?
A smart awning retracts so you get sunlight when you want it and keeps your facade clean. A fixed awning provides permanent cover and handles heavy rain better. Many homes combine both.
